Anti-semitism is anti-jewish. Another word for anti-semitism is Judeophobia. It's essentially a fear or hatred of Jewish people.
It means being against the Jews, "having a hatred for them".

The term 'antisemitism' was coined by Wilhelm Marr in Germany in 1879, in a pamphlet entitled 'The Victory of Judaism Over Germanism'.

Marr introduced the term antisemitism as a scientific approach to the subject, and a positive alternative to the more confronting expression, 'Jew-hatred'.

Antisemitism is not hostility towards 'Semites' (ethnic and cultural groups associated by their common language features such as speakers of Arabic, Aramaic, or Hebrew). It is the term used specifically to describe hatred against Jews. Currently, many are under the false impression that because Arabs are Semites that Antisemitic means to discriminate against Arabs as well. This is incorrect.

The European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) adopted a working definition of antisemitism, developed by a small number of NGOs, which provides a useful starting point for dealing with antisemitism:

Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.

Beyond this, antisemitism is involved when Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity, is singled out from the world's nations.

While the term's etymology might suggest that antisemitism is directed against all Semitic peoples, the term was coined in the late 19th century in Germany as a more scientific-sounding term for Judenhass ("Jew-hatred"), and that has been its normal use since then people who are hostile to or have prejudice against Jews are called Anti-Semitic

The word antisemitic means anti-Jewish. The word was coined around 1879 by people who hated the Jews. They didn't like being called Jew baiters and wanted to suggest that they, too, had an -ism to cure all the world's problems. The word is very odd in that there is no such thing as 'semitism'.
