Cancer multiplies within the body and kills your good cells. It basically turns your body against you and then kills you. Some people successfully live with it and with treatment never die. Some cancers kill people so fast you don't even know what hit them. There are so many cancers and mutations of them that it's hard to describe what it does. When I watched my good friend laying in a coma in the hospital this April, cancer had eaten away her chest, liver, her bones, her uterus, her lungs and finally her brain. She lost all functions of her body within a few days. I spoke to her a few days before and it hit her hard without any notice and killed her finally and visiously within a few days when doctors thoght she'd be okay for at leat a few years. Throughout her ordeal, the chemo she went though made her weak and sick. The tumors caused her so much pain she could barely walk or pick up her baby. It is deadly and it strikes people no matter what religion, race or gender. I pray for a cure.

Skin cancer is a malignant growth on the skin which can have many causes. The most common skin cancers are basal cell cancer, squamous cell cancer, and melanoma. Skin cancer generally develops in the epidermis (the outermost layer of skin), so a tumor is usually clearly visible.

There are a variety of different skin cancer symptoms. These include changes in the skin that do not heal, ulcering in the skin, discolored skin, and changes in existing moles. Such as jagged edges to the mole, and enlargement of the moleBasal cell carcinoma usually looks like a raised, smooth, pearly bump on the sun-exposed skin of the head, neck or shoulders. Sometimes small blood vessels can be seen within the tumor. Crusting and bleeding in the center of the tumor frequently develops. It is often mistaken for a sore that does not heal. This form of skin cancer is the least deadly and with proper treatment can be completely eliminated with not so much as a single scarSquamous cell carcinoma is commonly a red, scaling, thickened patch on sun-exposed skin. Ulceration and bleeding may occur. When SCC is not treated, it may develop into a large mass. Squamous cell is the second most common skin cancer, it is dangerous, but not nearly as dangerous as MelanomaMost melanomas are brown to black looking lesions. Signs that might indicate a malignant melanoma include change in size, shape, color or elevation of a mole. Other signs are the appearance of a new mole during adulthood or new pain, itching, ulceration or bleeding.
