the problem is usually the knock sensor wiring connector is defective and/or the sensor.
the sensor is located in the right /passenger side of the engine block near the starter.

This is the 305ci engine. The 8th vin code is the engine code. This engine is rated at 170hp but I think it is understated for the face all of the models online are of "base" models. Also just bacause the car doesn't say "classic" dosent mean that its a "base model.
