β 11y agoEach cover of the Hunger Games trilogy represents something different in the novels. "The Hunger Games" book cover has a picture of a mockingjay pin on it, and represents the mockingjay pin that Katniss received from Madge (Mayor Undersee's daughter) before the seventy-fourth Hunger Games as her district token. In "Catching Fire", there is a picture of a sectioned circle shape with a bird in the middle. The shape represents the arena of the third Quarter Quell, which was designed to look and work like a clock. "Mockingjay"'s book cover depicts a mockingjay in flight and surrounding it, the circle pattern that was seen on the previous two covers is now broken into pieces. This possibly represents Katniss (the Mockingjay of the rebellion) and the broken circle pattern could represent Katniss(the Mockingjay)breaking out of the arena and that the everyday cycle has been broken. Each of the covers symbolizes something significant about their story.
