They are not filling.

∙ 15y agoit depends on what your cooking because for soup you can use it to thicken the broth for the soup you just get a pot and 1tp of butter and cut up part of anonion then add hot water with the stuff in the soup pot.

There are many cakes, such as a pound cake for example, where all ingredients are equal. (hence the name.)
Flour can be used as a thickener, binding agent, leavener....it all depends on the usage.
Flour is generally the foundation in baking as far as breads and the branches from there on out.
