Humans expire carbon dioxide as part of the respiration cycle. This additional CO2 is easily offset by the crops grown for human consumption. Earth's total carbon budget would remain in balance. The difference comes in the release of carbon which has been sequestered for hundreds of millions of years. This fossil carbon, in the form of coal and oil deposits, increases earth's atmospheric carbon content as it is burned. The additional CO2 traps heat at a higher rate, resulting in an increased greenhouse effect.

Global warming is therefore partly the fault of anyone using these fuels. Collectively it becomes an ever increasing issue.

Global warming will soon affect everyone. An estimate said that by 2050, the air throughout the world will be so polluted that people will always be sick, and masses will die of it. Global warming may cause the extinction of humanity eventually, and maybe all other species.

  • Warming
  • Ice caps and glaciers melting
  • Sea levels rising
  • Arctic warming causing meandering of the Polar Vortex bring erratic weather conditions in the Northern Hemisphere
  • Heat waves killing thousands, especially the sick, the very old and the very young.
  • Extra heat energy in the atmosphere giving increased strength to all kinds of storms
  • Warming melts tundra and frozen lakes, releasing methane, another greenhouse gas, which makes the whole thing worse (a negative feedback)

Answer One:This has been a debating subject for a while now; until recently I thought it was our fault, too. But now i have a full understanding of why the Earth is heating up abnormally. I'm sure the term "Global Warming" makes some people take the drastic assumption that the Earth is heating up massively whilst it indeed is not. The Earth is only heating up as much as 1 whole degree, which to some may seem like a minor adjustment. It is not. This is the most the Earth has heated up since it was created. If the Earth rises one whole degree, not only is it going to get hotter, but because of that, we will have more severe weather- because of the way condensation and fronts work- like thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, cyclones, the list goes on and on. But getting back to your question. It was thought that the car exhaust that our cars emitted was breaking down the ozone layer thus our Earth's protection from the harmful UV rays. Then very recently it is becoming clear that the sun's temperature fluctuates and that plus The Greenhouse Effect could be causing the Earth to heat up somewhat devastatingly. None of these theories have ever been verified but they are both feasible. After all, the Sun itself is a star. Answer Two:Humans emit 30 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year from fossil sources. Although the sun's output is variable, measurements over the past 40 years indicate a slight (and unexpected) overall decline, not a general increase. Our climate models indicate the primary cause of global warming is the increase in CO2. The sun's infrared rays (heat) trapped by CO2 gas increases earth's temperature, not so much the ultraviolet (UV) rays.

Global warming, unless we can stop it, will mean destructive changes to the lives and lifestyles of millions of people around the world. Rising sea levels will wipe out some countries and swamp all low lying coastal lands. Rising temperatures will mean droughts and crop losses and economic problems for many countries. Millions of people will have to move. Some animal species will face loss of habitats and perhaps extinction.

Is Kyoto a possible solution to global warming?

No because the Kyoto protocol assumes human beings are responsible for global warming. This is unlikely to be the case because the earth has gone through numerous cycles of warming and cooling going back long before human beings were a significant presence on this planet. Ever heard of the Ice Ages? There were several. Global warming and cooling are a function of solar activity and people can't control the sun.

Is Global warming wrong?

No, 97% of scientists agree the earth is warming due to human means.

What is the acknowledgement of global warming?

Global warming causes destruction to wild life and nature and even to human. The resources of the Earth will get destroyed due to it.

Why is it said that global warming also involves politics?

Global warming is happening on its own, caused by human burning of fossil fuels and human deforestation. The politics involved are the timid responses of governments and their failures to do anything serious about stopping global warming.

What is global warming about?

Global warming is caused by human activity. The planet is warming and this warming is changing the climate. Sea levels are rising and threaten many low-lying areas and cities permanently.
