"What does it mean to accept Jesus Christ as your savior?" To have a vague feeling that there is a supreme being does not please or honor God. You must believe on God as He has revealed Himself in The Bible and in His Son, Jesus Christ. "God wants you to have faith in the one he sent" (John 6:29) CEV. * WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST?? To believe means to hear and accept the WORDS of Jesus Christ. Believing in a person means to trust what he says: his statements and his promises. Jesus said, I tell you for certain that everyone who hears my message and has faith in the one who sent me has eternal life and will never be condemned. They have already gone from death to life. (John 5:24) CEV The WORDS of Jesus are found in the four gospels. He taught us how to live. He exposed our errors. He revealed God the Father to us. He promised eternal life to his followers. He explained the work He had come to do. The Spirit is the one who gives life! Human strength can do nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are from that life-giving Spirit. (John 6:63) CEV. The sky and the earth won't last forever, but my words will. (Matt. 24:35) CEV To believe means to accept and trust the WORKS of Jesus Christ. Believing in Christ is more than believing that He was a good man who spoke profound truths. It means to acknowledge that He came to do something no one else could do. He suffered and died as the sinless Son of God to pay the penalty of our sins. We must admit that we are sinners, guilty before God, condemned to die. The saving WORK of Jesus reconciles us to God and restores us to God's family. At the end of His life, Jesus said to His Father: I have brought glorly to you here on earth by doing everything you gave me to do. (John 17:4) CEV. The Son of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will give his life to rescue many people. (Matt. 20:28) CEV God wiped out the charges that were against us for disobeying the Law of Moses. He took them away and nailed them to the cross. (Colossians 2:14) CEV To believe means to acknowledge and honor the WORTH of Jesus Christ. Jesus is worthy of all honor and praise because He is very God. His rising from the dead proved this. He is not only the Savior of mankind, but the creator and sustainer of the universe, the Light of the world, King of kings and Lord of lords. "The Lamb (Jesus) who was killed is worthy to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise." (Revelation 5:12b) CEV Obviously to reject the Son of God and refuse to hear his words or accept his work in the ultimate sin. It condemns you to eternal punishment. But everyone who rejects me and my teachings will be judged on the last day by what I have said. (John 12:48) CEV No one who has faith in God's Son will be condemned. But everyone who doesn't have faith in him has already been condemned for not having faith in God's only Son. (John 3:18) CEV "Have faith in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved!" Mankind is a sorry lot. That is why we need a savior.

In Islam God is the personal savior and no one else. Muslims believe that salvation and forgiveness is achieved from God the creator of the Universe only.

In addition, Muslims believe in Jesus Christ too but not as much as the Christians do. Jesus, in islam, is the creation of God Almighty who was born of the virgin Mary(pbuh) and he was tasked with the duty to deliver the Gospel and preach the Oneness of God to the Jews.

AnswerThis means to become a Christian and believe the Church teaching that, because of the death of Jesus, you will go to heaven when you die.

--
It means that you accept Jesus to be your ONLY means of becoming saved from the wrath of God. And if Jesus isn't what you are wholly putting your trust in, you will experience God's wrath eternally.

A:Christians believe that if you accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour, you will be saved, which means you will go to heaven and not hell. Others believe that it makes no difference because there is no heaven or hell. If you are deciding whether to go down this path, only you can decide which view is correct.

Another Answer:

The Scripture often tells readers that merely accepting Jesus in words is a good start but not enough as talk is 'cheap.' God wants 'doers' of His word and on those who keep His Commandments will He look upon and bless (see James 1:25; Isaiah 66:2 as just two examples).

Consider Jesus' own words here:

Matthew 7:21-23New King James Version (NKJV) I Never Knew You21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

As a footnote, not all 'Christians' believe in going to Heaven or Hell. Rather they ascribe to the Scripture that tells of Heaven and the God Family coming to the New Earth as its headquarters - all other physical humans have experienced the 2nd and final death (see Revelation 20 and 21).

He was the one who died for our sin. So Saturn couldn't touch us or hurt us.
