A Christian witness means going out in the world and telling people about Jesus and salvation.
One online dictionary says that a 'witness' is : 'a person who gives sworn testimony about something' they have personally experienced, so a 'Christian Witness' would "openly profess faith in God through their words and actions."(Isaiah 43:8-12/Isaiah 44:8). They would DO the will of God (Matthew 7:21-23), and obediently SPEAK about God and what the scriptures command (Matthew 28:19+20)(John 15:27)(Acts 1:8)(Acts 4:29+30)(Acts 5:42)(Acts 8:25)(Acts 1:8). Jesus was considered a 'faithful and true witness' because he boldly spoke the truth about God (John 18:37/1 Timothy 6:13).
Christ Anointed followers were not to be Ambassador for Christ. Christ himself was an Ambassador for God.In Biblical usage, an official representative sent out by a ruler on a special occasion for a specific purpose. Jesus Christ came as Jehovah God's "apostle," or "sent one." He it is who "shed light upon life and incorruption through the good news."-Heb 3:1; 2Ti 1:10. After Christ had been resurrected to the heavens, being no longer on earth in person, his faithful followers were appointed to act in his place, "substituting for Christ" as ambassadors of God. Paul specifically mentions his office of ambassadorship. (2Co 5:18-20) He, like all the anointed followers of Jesus Christ, was sent to nations and people who were alienated from Jehovah God the Supreme Sovereign-ambassadors to a world not at peace with God. (Joh 14:30; 15:18, 19; Jas 4:4. It is a challenge because this requres them to be honest in all things big and small to the best of their imperfect abilities. It also requires them to be loyal to his kingdom, Seperate from the nations of the world yet obediant to its laws. In fulfilling his role as an ambassador, Paul respected the laws of the land but remained strictly neutral toward the world's political and military activities. This was in harmony with the principle that ambassadors of worldly governments must obey the law but are exempt from allegiance to the country to which they are sent. Most of us are not anointed, (there is a very limited number, (Revelation 14:1-4). Work alongside them and cooperate with them. How a person receives these ambassadors of God determines how God will deal with him.
