After Joby is done talking with the general. Joby lay for a moment, staring but unable to see where the man had gone. He swallowed. He wiped his eyes. He cleared his throat. He settled himself. Then, at last, very slowly and firmly, he turned the drum so that it faced up toward the sky.

Where the troops well trained for fighting at the Bull Run battle?

Actually there were two separate battle of Bull Run- which has nothing to do with Bull-fighting. Obviously, being combat-seasoned the second engagement involved better-trained and seasoned troops on both sides. If I am not mistaken the second battle of Bull Run is known to the Confederates and their fans as Shiloh. Both a poem and a motion picture were done on a juvenile drummer caught up in the battle. It is poetically suggested the drummer died in the poem ( The Peach Blossoms fell on the drum) He survived the action in the Disney movie version called, appropriately, Johnny Shiloh. Obviously in Grey costume!

Who is better the drummer from dragonforce or the drummer for rush?

Kind of a weird question to be asking since half of Dragonforce`s songs are done with a drum machine and Neil Peart (drummerr of Rush) is on of the best technical drummers in the world. The answer is rush`s drummer.

Was the little drummer boy a shepherd?

Occupation is not stated. could have been a soldier or militiaman, or something of that nature, no mention of a Parade, so not a secular drummer or flagman, both of which are often done with juveniles.

Movies with plots based on the Civil War?

Shiloh, Gone with the Wind, The General ( actually the name of a locomotive used in Civil war chase),,Glory, various treatments of such battles as Gettysburg. with the arguable exception of the General ( Buster Keaton silent) no service comedy of say the Bilko or Hogan variety was ever done on the Civil War. Too heavy a conflict.
