it represents the body
I've been researching this as well.. so far I have found a symbol for breast cancer that is a "survivor sword"- this is the link.. http://www.cafepress.com/bcsurvivors. I am trying to design a tattoo to commemorate cancer survivors as well as those I love who have passed from the disease-- I wanted three symbols, one to represent remembrance, one for survival, and one maybe to represent the fight.. when I began I wasn't sure. So far what I have is this: an awareness ribbon that will include every color, for every type of cancer-- some sort of cross for those who have passed, an infinity symbol for the continuity of life even after physical death, and the third.. well I'm still undecided. Underneath the ribbon symbol will be the words "In honore vitarum," which means "In honor of lives." I think that covers everyone/everything. Well I hope this helped, and if not, I would love to hear any ideas! ....................................................................................................................................................... iv looked at this web sit and im ony 13 (14 to morro yay) and i have enjoyed reading the information !!!!! check it out!!!!!!!!!! ************************************************* Butterflies are a great symbol for Breast Cancer survivors.
