Pinpoint bleeding around hair follicles and "corkscrew hairs" are additional effects of scurvy, and bleeding along the gums is common. The Encyclopedia Britannica confirms these conditions, and also mentions loosened teeth and slow healing wounds as effects of Scurvy.
