While other factors such as weather conditions and road alter the handling, above mentioned factors are always on the mind of the engineers of a performance car. Having great handling will help the experienced driver to perform fast maneuvers on the road that may help prevent serious accidents without compromising. 4. Acceleration: While less important, fact is that the faster is your ability to move a car from point of impact, the less chances you have of being hit. Be it if you are on a highway moving at 60 MPH our standing on the intersection, your ability to accelerate out of the danger zone will depend on your transmission and the number of horses your engine provides. These aspects are well thought out during the engineering stage and to an experienced driver, these aspects may help the driver get out of a bad situation quickly. While all good is great, here is a short selection on disadvantages: 1. increased cost for 'performance'. 2. decreased mileage per gallon of fuel. 3. increased insurance costs. 4. increased repair costs.
