Depending on context, the term "sats" usually can mean Oxygen Saturation levels or short arm thumb spica. You may have had a pulse oximeter on your finger while getting health care at some point. It's a little device on the end of your finger with a glowing light. It's measuring your "sats." Normal ranges of SP02 levels are 90%-100%, ideally above 95%. Oxygen saturation is a measure of how much of the hemoglobin in the patient's blood is carrying oxygen. Short Arm Thumb Spica (a cast that immobilizes the thumb and wrist which extends to just below the elbow).
