The number three is the numerical signature of God.
It is the number of personal completeness. It is the number of the Godhead, it stands for the triune God. It is formed by 1+1+1, but if the 1's are multiplied, the result is still 1. So God is three in one and one in three. In geometry two lines do not make a cube. Hence 2 is an incomplete number while 3 is the complete number. It therefore represents God. A complete man is formed with spirit, soul and body. 3 is also a number of resurrection. The Lord Jesus is resurrected on the third day. The earth came of the water on the third day. There are many references to the number 3 in The Bible.
The number 3 is mentioned 523 times in the bible. We have three phases in life, Birth/Life/Death. The triangle is the most powerful shape, since it is able to sustain pressure. Governments are set up because of the Bible, with the three branches: Judicial, Legislative and Presidental.
The number three is used at times to represent intensity, importance, or added strength. For example, Ecclesiastes 4:12 speaks of how "A threefold cord cannot quickly be torn in two." The intensity of God's holiness is emphasized by the declaration at Revelation 4:8: "Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is coming."
A book written by Watchmen Nee answers many questions on the number, and that is the reference that is being used for much of this answer.
The main instance of the number three in the Bible is that it represents the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son (Hereunto named as well, Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit.
There are many other times the Bible uses the number three (e.g. the number of times Peter denies Christ, the three days between Good Friday (Jesus' death) and Easter (His ressurection), etc.), but this is the most outstanding.
There are several different responses to this depending upon who in the Judeo-Christian belief system answers.
Some who believe God is 3 persons in one or a triune point to this. Some will say it represents 'resurrection' as the dry land appeared on the 3rd day of renewal of the Earth and Jesus rose on the 3rd day. Others see it as an intensifier in verses like Holy, holy, holy or for an adequate amount of time to wait for a difficult answer. Still others point to time as past, present and future or 3 attributes of God being omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence.
Overall, there is no unique significance for the number 3 but the study of numerology or Gematria will have more info on this.

Nothing. There are no werewolves in the bible.
In "A Tale of Two Cities," the recurring theme of three represents the idea of duality or contrasts found throughout the novel. This theme is reflected in the dual cities of London and Paris, the two main male characters Carton and Darnay, and the love triangle between Lucie, Carton, and Darnay. The number three also signifies balance and completion in these relationships and themes.
