Rather than being one single entity, the Red Cross is a collection of national organisations that cooperate on an international level. Different Red Cross organisations have different involvement with HIV & AIDS; but generally speaking, the Red Cross tries to take a lead educating people on how to stop the transmission of HIV, encouraging people to respond in informed ways to people who have HIV, and help people to apply the facts about HIV to their own behaviour.
