The scientific method is a series of steps taken to answer a question (usually used for scientific experiments). The steps basically are:

1) ask a question

2) Do research on the subject

3) State your hypothesis (educated guess of what you think will happen)

4) Test hypothesis with an experiment

5) Analyze results and draw a conclusion

6) Is the hypothesis true or untrue?

7) Record/report your results
