You mean the TV show? Some episodes didn't have morals. Some episodes seemed to imply "what goes around comes around." Some of them seemed to have political morals, implying what a government should or should not do. Some of them seemed to imply "crap happens."

Twilight Zone- not to be confused with a more recent ( Twilight) series of occult films, is a rarity- a science fiction television show with an anthology format- that is each episode is complete in itself, and there are no continuing characters -this was and is expensive to produce, but does enhance suspense and unpredictable plots- this type of drama did not appeal to everybody and some *left hanging) episodes rather turned viewers off. Some were of immense scope. the program was produced by Rod Serling ( not sterling, as many called him) He may have derived his stage name from invertintg a well-known Journal Square Drug store title- the Silver Rod- to Rod Sterling- then altered to Serling to ( avoid confusion) with the Silver grade (.925) strictly business hours- a good memory jog- 9-5). as stated the show had no recurring characters and tended to turn some elements of the audience = off. needless to say production costs were high, after each episode- back to the drawing board- a much easier task with Radio as there are no props or trick Photography involved. it lasted a good many years and on reruns.

The television program, an anthology of one-shot plays dealing with occult, science-fictional, and morbid plots commenced in l959 and lasted on reruns well into the seventies. the host and moderator was Rod Serling- not Sterling! By the way a popular drug store in Jersey City was named the Silver Rod, invert the name and well Sterling is a type of silver (.925 commercial grade)- so Rod Silver- Rod Sterling. He may have derived his screen name from the Drug store. Twilight Zone was unusual but not unique for a TV drama as it had, other than Mr. Serling, no continuing characters. This leaves suspense wide open, and plots tended toward the morbid and Occult. Probe seven, Over and Out! Lay in a strip for the Silver Rod--who was not to my knowledge, a commercial sponsor!

What is the color of the Twilight Zone?

Television shows were cheaper to produce in Black & White. Show producers did not really think into the future about there still being a market for a year decades later. Most network shows were being made in color by 1965 but Twilight Zone ended production in 1964. Another consideration was the availability of color televisions. When The Twilight Zone went on the air in 1959, most if not all televisions were Black & White, so it wouldn't have helped to make it in color.
