Diffusion is the movement of ions and other micro molecules across a barrier or membrane. Diffusion is caused by gradients on either side of the membrane.
Facilitated diffusion is a process whereby a substance passes through a membrane with a aid of an intermediary or a facilitator. The facilitator is an integral membrane protein that spans the width of the membrane. The force that drives the molecule from one side of the membrane to the other is the force of diffusion. and Diffusion is the process of movement of a substance from the region of higher concentration to the region of lower concentration so as to spread uniformly. Difference : Facilitated diffusion is when polar or charged molecules cross the cell membrane through a trans membrane channel protein. Diffusion is when small, non-polar molecules cross the cell membrane directly through the lipid bilayer. they can do so as they are hydrophobic and hence can pass through the hydrophobic core of the lipid bilayer. crossing the lipid bilayer is difficult for charged/polar particles as they are hydrophilic and large (as they may have hydration shells due to their charged nature), hence they have to cross through transport proteins.
Because diffusion is how chemicals travel in and out of the animal's cells. If diffusion didn't occur then the animal would die.
Passive diffusion is what naturally happens without any assistance of any sort. Facilitated diffusion requires extra energy from extra sources to happen.
The rate of diffusion in gelatin at room temperature is very slow. This is especially compared to the rate of diffusion in water at the same temperature.
here the word binary means two therefore the diffusion between two molecule will be called binary diffusion........................ Attaullah khan safi.
balance of the elements
as a cell goes blank effectiveness of diffusion and osmosis goes bank.
A difference in the concentration throughout space because diffusion doesn't just happen in a cell or aqueous solution by definition diffusion is just from high to low concentration
Facilitated diffusion is a passive process whereby a molecule is "carried" across a semi-permeable membrane by a channel or protein carrier. Like diffusion, this process requires no energy, however, since passive diffusion can drive movement against a concentration gradient it is not really diffusion.
contagious diffusion, relocation diffusion, expansion diffusion, stimulus diffusion, hierarchical diffusion.
Diffusion is the process that allows the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the alveoli. This process is one of passive transport.
diffusion
Diffusion occurs via random atomic [and molecular] collisions. The Kinetic Energy that is needed to accomplish this is derived exclusively from Heat. No Heat, or even Warmth, yields no Diffusion.
Relocation Diffusion
Diffusion.
There are three forms of passive transport, or the movement of biochemical and other atomic or molecular substances across the cell membranes. They are: osmosis, simple diffusion or facilitated diffusion, and filtration.
simple diffusion, osmosis and facilitated diffusion.
