Answer. Well it depends...How old is the horse, how long have you had it? You don't need to know much but you do need to know what you are doing. I have been riding since I was 4 years old and I am now 16 years old. I starting training (Working with my own horses) when I was 9 years old. so now I have my own training business. I hope that helps.
You need a place to keep the horse (A stable, pasture w/shelter). You also are going to need alot of equipment including a saddle, a bridle, halter, lead shank, blanket, grooming supplies and a riding helmet for you. But this is just a short list of all the things you need!!!
I would suggest having several degrees in the following: Equine business management, Business management, and A Veterinarian Assistant certification. All of these will allow you to run a good stable and help serve your customers best. If you are also interested in training/instruction I suggest you get degrees or certification in those areas as well.

It depends where you ride. If you are having lessons at your house then yes you will probably need your own horse. But if you are going to a riding centre then usually you will not need a horse of your own.
Although you do not need to own a horse or pony, to join the United States Pony Club (USPC) you need to have access to a horse or pony for lessons, ratings, and rallies.
There could be several reasons why a horse's eye looks cloudy, such as moonblindness. This is probably not something you can deal with on your own. You need to have your vet look at it, the sooner the better.
Nope, because Ima Weiner said so!
I guess you would need basic items if you have a horse. A feed bag, curry brush, etc. are good horse items for horse people.

After checking the website I could not find any information on whether or not you are required to bring your own horse for lessons or not. I would suspect however that you would need your own horse or at least a lease horse for her lessons.
To play polo you need at least seven horses. Most polo players own their own horses.
You will need a horse to ride. If you don't own one, you might find one to borrow, or lease. I know of no events where horses are provided however.

You can own a horse just about anywhere so long as the local laws says it's OK to do so. You'll most likely need a bare minimum of 1 acre per horse by law.
You will need approximately 1 acre to 1.5 acres of land for each horse you own in New York. You should not only look at its area, its quality and the water supply.

one if you own a horse you are the boss therefor you are the master of it :) happy horsing
To own a horse, firstly you need knowledge. Do NOT just go into ownership right away thinking it will be fun. You should get lessons for at least two years so you will not end up making your horse sick. If you have your own land that has safe fencing and shelter, then you can board your horse at home. If not find a safe and reputable boarding stable. If your horse is just a pet you may or may not need tack to ride it. But you will need brushes and blankets. And if your horse is at home buy grain, get a veterinarian to tell you what type of grain and hay to buy and exactly how much to feed.
no if it is just a companion pony/horse but some horses become restless and misbehave if not exercised adequatly
It depends on the school. Some schools yes, you must have your own horse. Other schools will lease a horse to you or have lesson horses that are used.
