In the weeks after the Titanic went down, Sentors ordered order and wanted to know "WHY did a brand-new sink with HUGE loss of life?" A month after, the Sentor broke the rule that, EVERY ship over 10,000 tons had to have 16 lifeboats on board.

It effected people pretty badly, People lost loved ones, friends and families. Just imagine yourself on the Titanic and you lose someone you were close to or your loved one..... You wouldn't like it. It would tear you apart,day and night

The Titanic did not change society so much as shipping laws. Among the various alterations were that lifeboats must have enough space for every passenger (as opposed to seats per tonnage of the ship) and radios must be monitored and kept active permanently (where most used to turn off at midnight, if that).
