I don't know about meat in general, but as for pork, there's an answer. If you pour Coke on pork and let it sit for several(3-4) minutes then your start to see these tiny white worms. However, if you add more Coke and let it sit for a couple of hours, you will see magots. It's gross but it is true. There are videos on YouTube with real people doing this, even a doctor tested it out!

∙ 14y agoThe meat on the outside will have a lot of bubbles and if you put it there for a long time, it will just turn very lumpy

∙ 9y agoThe acidity in the coke will slowly break down the meat and little by little begin to take pieces of the meat and dissolve them. The meat on the fat turns to a clear color as well.
