I would change the attack on Japan by implementing personal talks with the Emperor and President Roosevelt. The Emperor failed to truly govern his leaders and people. He was swayed by the military leaders too much. He did not understand the plight of the Japanses populous. They worshipped him as a god. He needed to be awakened to the fact that the US was more powerful militarily and could anihilate the Japanese out of existence. That was not the goal of the US. They wanted the Japanese to stop warring and stop their brutality to prisoners and other people. Most Japanese people had never even seen or heard their Emperor. He is was more of a idol concept than a real man.
