Many actors and producers where used by the Army to make films for both training aides, for raising war bonds, and for propagander. So in a sense, they did did have an impact on the war. Also, many actors in Hollywood volunteered at local canteens to entertain troops. There was a movie made about this in 1944 called "Hollywood Canteen". They also helped cheer up injured troops. Some actors and singers toured the troops over at the front lines.
