friend it is normally sufficient to use wire supplied by manufacturer of each audio equipments. if length of manufacturer supplied wires are not sufficient and but if situation comes to buy lengthy wires to suit to installing position of side and surround speakers and you can afford little more money for more performance, you can use gauge 9 copper wire which can give almost 100% loss less performance but it is very expensive and it is advisable to use super dooper AV sets only, and gauge 16 copper wire can give almost 50% improved performance which is medium priced and affordable and is recommeded to use with expensive to medium performance AV equipments and gauge 20 copper wires can give 25% more performance and it is cheap and affordable. buying any copper wire thinner than gauge 20 is meaning less and it is always better to use manufacturer supplied wires than using wires thinner than gauge 20.

RF's T2 series ranges from 10" to 15" subs so different brands could possibly be a little bit better is certain aspects. But what I have seen in RF's speaker engineering is that with the right amp, wiring, and mids/tweeters, it is by far louder than even Tantric Audio's 24" subwoofers. RF and JL Audio have competed for ages though, so id check out JL audios systems. but honestly it depends on what you listen too, there are so many variables that cause car systems to be better or worse ranging from amps, receiver's, subwoofers, door speakers, fuses, gauge wire, ported or seal boxes, etc. Hope this helped some!
