depends on whether you are an offroader or a poser. for real offroad use- get 4.88s, its lower than even the stock 3.73s relative to the original tires. for poser street use- leave them alone, or have daddy shell out a grand for 4.10s or 4.56s
when you get bigger tires, or different rear end gears.

Yes, The stock tires for it should be 265/65/17 and the only difference is the rim width.

Are you serious? The size of the lift has nothing to do with what gears you need, it is the size of the tires, what engine you have, and what size tires were originally on the vehicle.
The speedometer in a car runs based off the speed of the transmission. The gears in the transmission spin at a known rate for the speed the vehicle is traveling at. The faster the gears spin the more the speedometer goes up. If a person replaces stock tires with larger tires, then the tires will spin slower, which will cause the speedometer to read at a value that is less than the actual speed.
if your shocks are bad change them first. Other wise it can mess up your new tires.

Yes I believe it should. I own a 1988 Pathfinder and have 31 inch tires on it with no lift.
Well you have to have the same gear in the front and in the rear of any set of axles so the tires spin at the same rate other wise you would wear your tires out from then skidding all the time, and or brake the transfer case gears...
