Need more information. Could be several things. If the Ignition switch, starter selinoid, or starter are bad, starter won't turn. If starter is bad, the selinoid will throw the bendix out but it won't turn, all you will hear is a loud click or clunk, same thing if the battery is too weak to turn the starter but has enough juice to move the bendix.
Start by checking all the fuses and the battery terminals. Then check the current to the ignition switch. If no electricity, check fuses, wires and fusable links. Then check current to the selinoid from the Ignition switch with the switch on Start. If no current, switch is probably bad. If you have current to the selenoid on Start, the selinoid is probably bad (this is common).
If the selenoid is working and the bendix engages, the starter is bad, assuming the battery is good and fully charged.
If the engine turns over and doesn't start, check the ignition system or fuel components.
AnswerFirst off check your charge on ur battery. If it says its at a proper level. Then move on to mechanical evaluations. When you turn you key if you hear nothing at all then your starter is dead and needs to be replaced I think. If your her a loud "Click. Click." Then your battery is drained and needs a jump or to be replaced. Also if you can jump your truck started then it could be your alternater draining your battery. Just take it in to any mechanic shop if you have a buddy that can toe it with their truck if you can't jump it running and have an expert look it over. Usually they do it cheap or free.
if your battery is fully charged then ck solenoid if its on fender take screw driver and touch to hot and ground while key is on and it might engage and start if armature in the starter had a bad spot it might stick and some times if someone in truck turns key to start position while you tap side of starter firmly it may start up but first ck wires to starter make sure they are tight and good connection or last option is take starter to advance auto parts or auto zone and they will ck it for you. it might be wise to also take battery to be tested its free at advance auto parts they will charge and test it in about 1/2 hour to charge, fuseable link will sometimes afect lights or horn when it gose bad
any special battery
a 127 should do the job,Wouldnt recommend a truck battery
Truck Battery versus Car BatteryThere is no difference in a truck battery or a car battery unless you are talking about a semi. As long as the battery fits, it the same voltage, and has sufficient CCA (cold cranking amps) it will work in a truck or car.
Yes why not, you can recharge your truck PC by driving around. To recharge the PC first the truck battery should be charged. Driving recharges truck battery because every truck has a power generator inside it but you cannot recharge your truck battery if it is not working properly the acid level of the battery should be maintained properly. Better you check your battery before recharging battery.
Well it maybe that the battery is to small for the truck or the alternator is bad
Bend the front portion of the truck to reveal a battery compartment
the diodes in the alternator have gone
Shopping for the best deal on a truck battery includes locating a place offering money for the old battery. If that is not an option, finding a place with a battery recycling program is the alternative. Used truck batteries must be disposed of properly. Purchasing a new truck battery at a store willing to dispose of the old battery at no charge to the customer saves the consumer time and money.
Need a little more info. Is it trying (but failing) to turn over? What's it doing? has new battery and relay. just filled up the gas tank, it turns over and turns over, but wont fire. ends up wearing the battery down. even with a battery charger it wont fire.
Maybe Its Your Battery
Your alternator is not recharging the battery and is defective.
you get a battery from the remote
