There are many good paying jobs you can get without a degree. IT professionals do not need a college degree. Insurance salesmen, Surveyors, Chefs and Executive Administrative Assistants are all jobs where you do not need a college degree.

You could get a CDL and drive bus or truck - some truck operators make well over $50k per year.
You could work for a government contractor doing assembly or test work.
The list is virtually endless - of course, the better jobs (less dirty or menial) do require further education.
The G.E.D. and a Graduation Diploma have the same value when it comes to getting jobs ... "good" jobs come with experience or additional education, including 4 & 5 year degrees.
