Which holy week, if you are asking hindus? People may have their different holy weeks. But hindus do have a nine-day function in honor of the Mother Goddess Durga, that is known as 'nav ratri' (nine nights) in which nine forms of the Goddess are worshiped. On the fifth day, we bring in idols of the Mother Goddess. On the eighth day, nine pre-puberty girls from the relations or the neighborhood are feasted and given gifts. Some people observe fast on these days, many abstain from liquor or non-vegetarian food, even onions or garlic. The sale of eggs goes drastically down. Some eateries serving non-vegetarian food close down for eight days. The idols are immersed in water on the ninth day. After that restrictions on food go away and people turn to non-vegetarian food with a vengeance.

A similar holy week is observed in Western India for Lord Ganesha.

Or do you mean Holi (the Hindu festival of color)?
