In his criminal trial for the murders of his ex-wife Nichole Brown-Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman he was aquitted of all charges. In his kidnapping and armed robbery charges' he was found guilty and is doing his time at a max. security prison in Nevada.

That's a really good question. There are several reasons the trial ended with an aquittal. Starting with the change of venue. The murders took place in affluent Brentwood, a far cry from downtown Los Angeles. The jury selection could have gone better for the prosecution. The defense was allowed to take the focus off Simpson and make dectective Mark Furhman the criminal. But the bottom line I think was the jury itself. It's hard to believe that 12 people could have disreguarded the physical and DNA evidence in this case and voted for aquittal.
