Raoul Wallenberg pretened to be a Swedish diplomat and gave out citizenships to the Jews. He went to the Jozsefuaros station, where the Jewish people were being boarded onto cattle cars and being shifted off to the camps.

He asked for all his people to come and form a line in front of him. He said that he had the persons name on his "list" (names of Jews were changed as they became "Swedes") then asked for their papers. Anything from letters to eyeglass prescriptions were acceptable papers to become a "Swede".

After the people got the okay they went back to Budapest where Tom Veres would take them to get their picture taken for there Shutz-pass.This would make them believable Swedes and therefore they would not be killed.

He was arrested by the Soviets, and presumably died in captivity, though it's unknown precisely when.
