Tropical rain forests are characterized by year-round high temperatures and high humidity both. The fundamental cause of these warm, steamy conditions is the location of the rain forests: they are found on or near the Earth's equator, which is the portion of the Earth closest to the sun at all times throughout the year.

It isn't hotter in the rainforest. It just seems to be hotter because of the high humidity. The human body sweats but the body does not evaporate the sweat and cool the body because there is already too much moisture in the air.
