The effects on a person of cyberbullying is: feeling very hurt that a person or group would target them and say the things they do for no apparent reason other than being mean spirited ... feelings of being lonely ... fear ... afraid to go to school ... a drop in grades ... fear of leaving their home ... dread going to school ... becoming paranoid so it's difficult to make new friends ... a feeling of helplessness (not knowing who to go to for help) ... depression for the victim of cyberbullying ... in severe cases of constant cyberbullying suicide MAY occur. The issues of cyberbullying are being taken very seriously in the U.S. and Canada and it's an offence! The best thing to do is not to respond back to the bully(s) if you have to see them at school try to ignore them go to your school counselor or, talk to your parents. Remember, cyberbullies will pick on one person and if you cease to ignore them they will move on to bully other victims. Cyberbullies are generally a product of their environment where they are verbally or physically abused or, they may be just spoiled rotten and bored enough to make other people's lives miserable. In groups of Cyberbullies they feel they are strong because they are together and feed off each other, but, inwardly some don't enjoy this so-called sport, but don't know how to move away from it for fear of being cyberbullied themselves.

Victims of cyberbullying may experience many of the same effects as children who are bullied in person, such as a drop in grades, low self-esteem, a change in interests, or depression. However cyberbullying can seem more extreme to its victims because of several factors:

  • It occurs in the child's home. Being bullied at home can take away the place children feel most safe.
  • It can be harsher. Often kids say things online that they wouldn't say in person, mainly because they can't see the other person's reaction.
  • It can be far reaching. Kids can send emails making fun of someone to their entire class or school with a few clicks, or post them on a website for the whole world to see.
  • It can be anonymous. Cyberbullies often hide behind screen names and email addresses that don't identify who they are. Not knowing who is responsible for bullying messages can add to a victim's insecurity.
  • It may seem inescapable. It may seem easy to get away from a cyberbully by just getting offline, but for some kids not going online takes away one of the major places they socialize.

Cyberbullying can be a complicated issue, especially for adults who are not as familiar with using the internet, instant messenger, or chat rooms as kids. But like more typical forms of bullying, it can be prevented when kids know how to protect themselves and parents are available to help.

There are two ways cyberbullying can affect you.

One way is that it can happen so much, your self conadence (srry for bad spelling) will lower and you will become a bully to lower someone's self confadance and raise your's.

The other way is that you get cyberbulled so much, you won't want to go to school. Some suiside cases are from cyberbulling.

If you get cyberbulled, tell your parents or a teacher, then call 911 and get the police. The police will hunt your bully down and make him/her feel soo bad, they won't do it again or they will take him/her to jail.

Cyber bullying can effect a person in many ways.

It can change their charcter, temper and even physical shape.

Cyber bullying and normal bullying make the person who is being bullied feel small and weak.

The person could get angry with herself/himself and can end up hating her/his life.

And with the cyber bullying, it gives the person a public humiliation and can lead the person to many troubles.
