Trying to start a fire with damp wood is very difficult. When I backpack I always carry some tinder (dry shavings) to start a fire. Wet wood will not burn unless the fire is hot enough to evaporate the water that is in the wood. You can burn damp wood on an already burning fire but it will not burn as hot.
Wet wood tends to smoke a lot and may go out on a small fire that does not have a good coal base.
I have had to use damp wood to start a fire before but I had to shave down the wood until I found dry wood inside. Once you get a small fire started gradually add wood until you can get a hot fire. Too much wet wood at once can put out a fire. Not a good thing when you are cold and wet. Be patient.
it turns into coal
Yes it can if left in moist conditions.
well the tree would probably set on fire and the dead wood could possibly be used for fire
That is, what they already do. No kind of fire can burn without oxygen!
It can start when you have 2 rocks and 1 stick and you make a fire, when you are camping, and leave it there. Another way a fire can start can be from a tiny spark in a dry area that gets out of hand.Sometimes it can be hard to stop. It can also start by 2 different ways. One way is by: natural causes. The second way is by:man.
They cut wood and then used Piggy's glasses to reflect the sun so the wood would catch fire.

All you have to do to start a fire on any of the virtual villagers is find the dry grass and the wood. After that you put a villager on the place where you see the dead grass/wood they will collect it and bring it to the fire place. Then after the grass and wood are collected put your villager on the fire place and the fire will start!
2; one to get wood, and one to light fire with hair.
