Teen pregnancy can be a serious social issue. By definition it is when a single teenager becomes pregnant. Mere age is not the main challenge, since it was once not uncommon f…or people to marry in their teens and begin their families. However, in today's society it is very difficult to survive economically if you don't have a certain level of education or job skills. For this reason, when a teenaged girl becomes pregnant, both the young mother AND the young father can be trapped for life in a downward socio-economic cycle. Their potential for success, and that of the baby and any other children they may have, becomes seriously stunted. In addition, teens in general are usually not developmentally or psychologically ready to carry and care for a baby and this can contribute to many other difficult problems for their young family. For reasons such as these, teen pregnancy does not only affect the teens themselves (which is sad enough on its own) but also contributes to other social issues that affect the wider community.
for a teenager to get pregnant is bad because most of the time the girl is not responsible enough to take care of the child, and was not responsible enough to make that kind o…f decision in the first place. if she didnt plan it, she shouldn't have spread her legs for him.whether protected or not there still going to be a possibility.i am a teenage girl. who wanted so badly and nothing more to have a baby. but i realized that my boyfriend isn't able to hold that decision, and neither am i. pregnant teenage girls need alot of money to support both herself and the baby and at a young age,and that's harder than it seems. i wouldn't want to have to have problems with feeding and supporting my baby. or stealing from stores to support the child. and i definitely wouldn't want to give my child up. but those are things you have to think of before getting pregnant. and lots more on top of that.
Finances are affected by the person who is paying for the pregnancy. The teen father of the baby may have to quit school and get a full time job to support the baby. If the te…en has no money then it will affect the parents, who may have to take the mother and baby into their home and pay all the expenses. There are the expenses of pregnancy to be sure, doctor visits, prenatal vitamins, maternity clothes but the real expenses come after the baby is born. Food, clothing, diapers, car seats, strollers and so much more. If a teen doesn't have the financial means to care for the baby for 20 years, then it would be a wise idea to consider adoption.
Teenage pregnancy is when a teenager has sex with someone nd then gets pregnant at a really young age.
no teens learn about birth control and everything in school so they should know better
Teenage pregnancy affects their lives because they possibly may nit be able to finish high school & the statistics of teenage mothers / parents attending college & finishing i…t is very unlikely. Not only will it affect their education but also their child's life. Many children who are born to teenage mothers are very likely to be raised in very poor conditions & would not have the life that they should have had as if they were born when the mother was of age to handle the situation. Teenage pregnancies also prevent women from finding jobs & succeeding as independent people. Although, some teenage girls do fine on their own , it is very likely that they need support for their parents or others or do not do very well. To prevent teenage pregnancy condoms & birth control & other protection is highly recommended. If you or someone you know is in this situation , adoption may be the right choice.
Having sex like everyone else is the main reason but there are also deeper reasons. Some feel it makes their relationship more serious having a baby and wants a family, not re…alizing very few stay together due to the strain of having a baby. Others have not got proper sex education and believe in myths like you can't get pregnant the first time or they just are not educated about birth control. Teens are very much living in the now and don't always think about the consequences, thinking "it wont happen to me". That is just how they are because their brains are not fully developed yet. And then of course there are those who are on bc but it fails.
The fact is, you can't. Teenage pregnancy wasn't created voluntarily, babies are made daily by teenagers 'having fun', and making the babies they call mistakes. Basically, mos…t babies born to a teenage mother was unplanned, and a complete accident. Teenage pregnancy is always gonna be an issue, but what a shame that is.
not always. Sadly,, the teenager could have been raped, and therefore have no control over her getting pregnant. The teenager may be sexually active and not have planned for a… baby- which is more common. However, there are many teenagers who plan to become pregnant, and will do whatever it takes to fall pregnant.
dont get knocked up
ob doctor, health clinics, Planned Parenthood clinic.
60% drop out of high school and less than 2% have a college degree by the time they are 30. Doing homework with a baby that need attention is not possible. You have to have so…meone watching them. Not getting to sleep is another thing that makes it hard to concentrate in school and at home.
16&pregnant and Teen mom shows what it's like but it would be more realistic if they were not paid so much money for being on the show.
They're still in high school, and most don't have jobs.
