use your key and reprogram your remote from the dealership
its a CR 2032
Go to a dealership. If you bought the keypad from someone other than the dealership, they'll charge a fee to do it. However, if you buy a keyless entry keypad from the dealership, then they'll do it for free. This is one way I know of that I used.
Keyless entry remotes must be programmed by a Hyundai dealer.
IT needs to be done at a dealer with a GDS machine.
I found an Internet site which says how to program the keyless entry remote. But there is an error: this procedure is good for Elantra 2001 to 2003. Elantra 2004 must be programmed by the dealer. http://car.justanswer.com/hyundai/n1kw-program-remote-entry-hyundai-2004
Dealer or Locksmith! Must use scantool...
No way! I just reprogrammed mine after some searching. You get in your car, turn the key to the ACC position. Hold the unlock button down until you hear a little click. And then you're all set!
Yeah, it does, but mine isn't working and I'm not sure why.
works sometimes, but no all the time
This model never offered keyless entry. It can be made to have keyless entry with after market products.
