You're going to need to do a few things, and most likely a LOT more than what I'm about to tell you but this will get you started.

* Get your own lawyer NOW. Make sure he/she is not affiliated with any adoption agency and is REALLY on your side. * If you haven't signed any relinquishment papers yet DO NOT SIGN THEM. EVER. * Tell your new lawyer you want to immediately revoke your consent to the adoption. Some states ( laws vary from state to state to country to country ) have 30 day revoke periods others 24 hours. find out what the laws are in your state IMMEDIATELY. * Document EVERYTHING. * Get involved with a mothers advocacy group like Origins USA or Baby Scoop Era * Its debatable on if you should tell the adoptive parents or not. What is your relationship with them like? do you know them well? will they fight you for your child or will they return him/her upon request? This is something you should talk with others more experienced than myself about.

Good luck!

I would like to adopt my stepchild do i need her father's permission he has no parental rights to her?

Not necessarily, however having the biological parents consent to the adoption makes the process much easier and faster. And having no parents rights is not the same thing as giving his consent. With or without his consent, however the adoption process is possible.
