Well, basically the engine will have no lubrication and the pistons and rods will freeze in place, called seizing, and the entire engine will be a paperweight for the rest of eternity. Hope that answers your question!
Depending on how much extra oil you put in the mix (a little bit extra will probably just make for smoky exhaust), and whether you know how much extra oil you put in, you can add enough more plain fuel to make the mix correct.
The rotating assembly (crankshaft) will whip the oil into a foam causing poor oil lubrication.
If the oil level reaches a spinning crankshaft it will cause the oil to foam up and greatly reduce the proper lubrication needed to the rotating parts.
Yep.
Struts are much like what used to be shock absorbers except more expensive to replace. Bad/worn out struts will greatly reduce the handling and control of the vehicle. You can drive the car but it may put you in a dangerous situation. How much do you value your life?
If you don't have the owners manual for your vehicle which would tell you, just add oil until it reads full on the dipstick. Don't forget to run the engine to fill the oil filter then check it again after a few minutes. Record the amount you put in so you won't have to repeat the proccess again.
== == Just did it, they put in a used engine, didnt have the car for a month and a half, then when I got it back the heads were bad on that one!!!!! Long story short, 3,400 dollars later I have the car back. JUST GET A DIFFERENT CAR!!!! NO!
Changing the oil wont keep the car from starting. Changine the plugs will if you didn't put the wires back on in the proper location. The oil light will come on until the car starts and allows the oil pump to fill the filter and circulate the oil. Once started, the light should go out.
Very bad.
Yes, a person can put to much oil in a car. It usually will not hurt a car, but the excess oil can cause smoking if it gets on the motor.
Depends on what car which you fail to list.
That would depend on the make and model of the car.
You shold drain out excess oil. Too much oil can strain seals & cause leaks. 1/2 a qt or so is not too bad but too much can give you grief
cooking in pan is nuthing bad.....but putting much oil is seriously bad.............we will get canser if we put much oil .....
Yes, never put oil formulated for a diesel in a gasoline engine.
Too much oil can be just as bad as too little. The excess oil can make contact with the crankshaft and cause cavitation. This will mix air with the oil. This mix creates a froth that is a poor lubricant. Drain out any excess oil.
Remove oil from pan or go for an oil change. Too much oil can blow out the gaskets.
your oil sending unit is bad
if you put to much oil in your car and drive it the exess oil has got to go somewhere and most of the time that meens a busted gasket so i recomend draining some of the oil out first. Too much oil is just as bad a too little oil. The crankshaft will make contact with the excess oil and whip it into a froth. This froth will be made up of oil and air. Air is a horrible lubricant and will cause damage the rings and bearings from a lack of sufficient lubrication. Drain the excess oil out immediately.
where do you put transmission oil in a standard car?
