Did you condition the water some times there is too much chlorine in the water and that will do them in . Its a good idea to let water stand for a while before putting fish in it. Make sure the new water is the same temperature as the old water you removed from the tank. Chemicals can be added to tap water to remove the chlorine/chloramide.

it is depending on how tall the tank is and how much water is in it i have a medium sized tank full of water and i bought 15 guppies and 2 crayfish and after a month only 3 are gone and 2 died ofsickness i know this because there was no bruises. if only you plan on feeding them guppies have low water and fat and slow guppies also feed the crayfish fish food sometimes because they will starve without it because catch rate is so low also they don't only eat fish like most people believe they eat fish about 1 to 3 times a month because of catch rate they eat worms,plants and other waste.
