No! Take it back to the mechanic, something is not right. Better yet, call the mechanic and ask him if it is safe to drive back to garage.
Your pads or discs are worn. The brakes will fail soon if not replaced.
You still have air in the back brake lines or they are not adjusted properly which is making the front brakes take the full load
It should be replaced when it begins making a noticeable noise.
Its not your bearings you idiot its your brakes. Take it in and have them replaced.

First thing I would do is check the fluid level in the Master Cylinder, and bleed the brakes. Start at RR, then LR, RF, and end up at LF, making sure you keep the Master Cylinder full at all times. If that does not help, replace the Master Cylinder.First thing I would do is check the fluid level in the Master Cylinder, and bleed the brakes. First thing I would look for is a loose vacuum line to the engine, sucking in the extra air. If the brakes feel "hard", look on the brake booster (the big round thing that the master cylinder is attached to) for a disconnected vacuum source line.
If your brakes are making a squeaking or a grinding noise when you are coming to a stop this is usually an indicator that your brake pads need to be replaced. Also, another sign that your brakes need to be replaced would be if your brake pedal goes all the way to the floor when pressed and it seems to be taking longer to stop.
The brakes may make a clicking noise if the caliper is going bad. I just changed the brakes and the rotors and discovered my car was making a clicking noise. The garage I took it to replaced the caliper, so now it doesn't make the noise anymore.
