As the first technologies were those invented by our prehuman ancestors that enabled the evolution of modern humans, in my opinion the invention(s) that triggered the technology revolution was some kind of early food related technology, one that improved our ancestors diet suddenly. Most likely either a cooking technology based on control of an open fire or hunting related technology based on antler, bone, or stone tipped weapons.
The improved diet allowed our prehuman ancestors to evolve larger and larger brains, allowing them to invent more technologies and better technologies to replace old ones at increasing rapid rates. Eventually the brain became the very large brain of the modern human and modern humans "explosively" invent new technologies so fast that now they build on each other so rapidly it is effectively impossible to keep up with the latest technologies!
The steam engine was the main invention during the industrial revolution and the valve and plug board was the first for the electronics revolution followed by the invention and development of the transistor, microchip. and microprocessor.
There are thousands, but I'd say the main ones are electricity, telephone, automobiles, and computers, which all, by the way, are involved with ELECTRICITY.
