Com'è la famiglia? and Come è la famiglia? or Come sta la famiglia? and Come va la famiglia? are Italian equivalents of the English phrase "How is the family?" The first two examples may be asked either to find out how a family is composed (parents, siblings, single parents) or how that family is doing whereas the last two will be asked only to find out how everything is going with the listener's familial members. The respective pronunciations will be "ko-MEH la fa-MEE-lya," "KO-mey eh la fa-MEE-lya," KO-mey sta la fa-MEE-lya," and "KO-me va la fa-MEE-lya" in Italian.
