I have not read the book but there is a great movie by this title that has some great acting by several well-known actors.

This movie revolves around a Jury that is trying to judge a murder trail. It starts off with 11 for Guilty and 1 for Not-Guilty. Then that 1 slowly convinces the others to change their minds by reviewing the evidence in detail. The real drama is the conflicts between the personalities and delving into other's secret hatreds and prejudices.
