Mudkipism is an ancient practice, and or,religion,which involves worshipping The Mudkip. Mudkip is our Lord. The historical-numerical term "AD"? It was created by Ancient Mudkipists (followers of the Mudkip) and means,in Latin, "In the Hour of our Lord", referring to what hour Pokemon was on.

The ancient mythology refers to:

In the beginning, there was Mudkip. Mudkip said "Let there be light" and there was a giant pokeball, named the Earth by humans thousands of millions of years later. However, it is actually some kind of egg reproduced by the Mudkip. The Day of Mudkipism will come when it hatches and devours the Earth, but all true followers of Mudkipism will ride on its back throughout the starry nights...

You can do, or be whatever you want to,as long as you believe in The Story.
