What is Stephen Hawking?
Professor Stephen Hawking is a famous scientist in the field of Theoretical Physics, most notable for his work in helping to understand black holes. He has difficulty communicating due to a disease known as ALS which results in nerve degradation. He communicates via a binary sensor that detects when he twitches his cheek and sends that signal to his computer, allowing him to select words and phrases using text-to-speech software. Professor Hawking receives a new custom computer donated by Intel Corporation every couple of year.

Stephen Hawking is brilliant man probably the smartest in theworld. He has done amazing things such as he has a Ph.D. inphysics. and Dr. Hawking has researched black holes. Hi…s mostimportant discovery so far is that black holes emit X-rays andgamma-rays that can be detected by special scientific instruments. Dr. Hawking is the author of A Brief History of Time and Black Holes and Baby Universes and Other Essays. NOT onlythat but he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs disease at the age of21. That disease slowly weakens all the muscles in the body andeventually kills you.He is the longest living survivor of thedisease(MORE THAN 40 YEARS) It is very rare for it to be found onsuch a young man. So because of all he has done in improving ourworld while suffering from a horrible disease he has shownbrilliance in the arms of total failure when he could have givenup. Our world would not be the same without Stephen Hawking.
he went to colige when he was 11
Stephen hawking is probly praying right know so his annoying disease can go away. Or he is probly just doing work. i don't really know but i feel so horrible right know becaus…e of his ugly and stupid disease. well that's all i have to say hoped it helped. oh who am i kidding it didnt help at all. imm srry i couldn't give you the answer.

Stephen Hawking has a condition called Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Stephen Hawking was born on January 8, 1942, in Oxford, England. At an early age, Hawking showed a passion for science and the sky. At age 21, while studyinryog cosmology at… the University of Cambridge, he was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Despite his debilitating illness, he has done ground-breaking work in physics and cosmology, and his several books have helped to make science accessible to evene. The eldest of Frank and Isobel Hawking's four children, Stephen William Hawking was born on the 300th anniversary of the death ofGalileo---long a source of pride for the noted physicist---on January 8, 1942. He was born in Oxford, England, into a family of thinkers. His Scottish mother, Isobel Hawking, had earned her way into Oxford University in the 1930s---a time when few women thought of going to college---making her one of the college's first female students. His father, Frank Hawking, another Oxford graduate, was a respected medical researcher with a specialty in tropical diseases. Stephen Hawking's birth came at an inopportune time for his parents, who didn't have much money. The political climate was also tense, as England was dealing with World War II and the onslaught of German bombs. In an effort to seek a safer place to have their first child, Frank moved his pregnant wife from their London home to Oxford. The Hawkings would go on to have two other children, Mary (1943) and Philippa (1947). A second son, Edward, was adopted in 1956. The Hawkings, as one close family friend described them, were an "eccentric" bunch. Dinner was often eaten in silence, each of the Hawkings intently reading a book. The family car was an old London taxi, and their home in St. Albans was a three-story fixer-upper that never quite got fixed. The Hawkings also kept bees in the basement and made fireworks in the greenhouse. In 1950, Hawking's father took work as the head of the Division of Parasitology at the National Institute of Medical Research, and spent the winter months in Africa doing research. He wanted his eldest child to go into medicine, but at an early age, Hawking showed a passion for science and the sky. That was evident to his mother, who, along with her children, often stretched out in the backyard on summer evenings to stare up at the stars. "Stephen always had a strong sense of wonder," she remembered. "And I could see that the stars would draw him." Early in his academic life, Hawking, while recognized as bright, was not an exceptional student. At one point during his high school years, he was third from the bottom of his class. But Hawking focused on pursuits outside of school; he loved board games, and he and a few close friends created new games of their own. At the age of 16, Hawking, along with several friends, constructed a computer out of recycled parts for solving rudimentary mathematical equations. Hawking was also frequently on the go. "[He was] hardly ever still," a family friend once said of him. With his sister, Mary, Hawking, who loved to climb, devised different entry routes into the family home Who is Stephen hawking Stephen Hawking is said to be one of the most brilliant scientific minds of our time. Undoubtedly a man of great genius, Hawking is a Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge --- post once held by Sir Isaac Newton --- and a bestselling author. His book, A Brief History of Time , was so popular it was on the British bestseller list for 237 weeks. Why is Stephen hawking famous Stephen Hawking is famous for his research on black holes. He is one of the most famous cosmologists and theoretical physicists alive. He is known, amongst other things, for the description of radiation that escapes from the region near a black hole (Hawking radiation) and the theory of the evaporation of black holes. Together with Roger Penrose, he showed that Einstein's General Theory of Relativity implied space and time would have a beginning in the Big Bang and an end in black holes. Hawkings' scientific works (together with others) include providing theorems regarding singularities, the framework of general relativity. He is also famous because he has accomplished so much, despite his debilitating muscular atrophy due to ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). from his work in black holes and working through his disablities. Yes he was. Stephen Hawking was born on January 8th 1942 and is known for his contribution to cosmology and quantum gravity.
Stephen Hawking has a neuro-muscular dystrophy that is related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a condition that has progressed over the years and has left him almost complet…ely paralysed.
His Children's names are: . Robert Hawking . Lucy Hawking . Timothy Hawking
Stephen Hawking is currently researching the origins of blackholes and the effects of blackholes on the matter surrounding it.
im pretty sure he is still working on hawking radiation (which isradiation coming out of black holes) i hope this helps
He is a person who researches about the universe!
In Black Holes
hawking predicts the black body radiation emiited by black holes due to quantum effect and due to this radiatin black holes evaporates and loses its mass and ultimately vanish…es . micro black holes emitts more radiation than bigger one therefore disintegrate faster
