There are two accrediting agencies for Bible colleges that are recognized as legitimate by the U.S. government: The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) and The Transnational Association for Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). A Bible college will primarily have one of these two accreditations, but may even be accredited by a regional association such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). At any rate, any accrediting agency should be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

What is the difference between a bible college and a seminary?
Some people use the terms interchangeably but a seminary is the two steps above a Bible College. A Bible College often is not accredited, and offers diplomas. A college/university offers (usually) accredited Bachelors' Degrees, while a seminary is graduate level offering Master's degrees, and often doctorates. Usually, a college degree is a prerequisite to a seminary. Often, just a Bible College degree is not sufficient. There is another level below Bible College level, and that is a Bible Institute.
