The Marlin, Model 20 Glenfield was made from about 1960 to 1966 according to my info. This gun is a bolt action, using a clip that holds 7 rounds. I don't know about the serial number, which would indicate the fairly exact time of production. The Marlin factory might have some info on this, but I am not sure. The value of the gun is based on the condition it is in.

CONDITION VALUE (APPROXIMATE, NOT GOSPEL)

Excellent $80 - 100% factory original, in as-new working order, 95% of original finish, bore is sharp and clean.

Very Good $60 - 85-95% of original finish, in fine working order, no evidence of repair, bore in good shape.

Good $40 - 60-85% of original finish, in good working order.

Condition is often subjective, but the definitions given above are commonly accepted limitations used in grading firearms. Use your best judgment or take the rifle to a gun shop and see if they will give you a value or ask what they would sell one for if they don't have one on the rack. If the rifle was owned by anyone famous and can be proved as such, the above values can go out the window.
