the bronchus is part of the tubing that barries air in the respiratory sytem. this particual part connects the trachea to the secondary bronchie which keep splitting to eventually form bronchioles which connect to alveoli. Anything with the word scope in it means something used for examining. Think microscope or stethoscope. So putting the two together the bronchoscope is a device used to examine thi interior walls of the lungs tuding. As it happens it is somewhat similar to and endoscope as it is basically a cameral on a tube.

A borescope is used to inspect areas that cannot be accessed or cannot easily be accessed. A borescope has an eyepiece on one end and an objective lens on the other end. They are used instead of having to destroy whatever it is that is blocking their view.
