An element is usually called gaseous if it is one that is a gas at STP (Standard Temperature and Pressure). That is at the freezing point of water and 1 atmosphere of pressure (about 14lbs / square inch).
Examples would be Hydrogen, Helium, Chlorine etc.
However every element can become gaseous if heated enough and, conversely, all gasses can become liquids or solids if cooled or compressed enough.
