A concave long board isn't really any different from any other board except that it has a certain amount of pressure added to the center of the board so the edges are higher up. This adds a little more responsiveness to the turning and also helps you stay on the board better then if it was flat. Other variations of this would be like a "W" type concave.

What is mellow concave?

First you have to understand concave. Concave is a term of the curve of the deck. Not from nose to tail, but from side to side. You will notice the board dips down in the middle (or comes up on the sides, however you want to look at it). This allows your heels/toes to flick the board for kickflips and heelflips. The deeper the groove (or the more the side come up) the more the concave. So, for a board to have mellow concave it is more flat.

Can you slide on the pintail 37 by original?

Yes, you can slide any board. The fact that it is a pintail does not make it any easier or harder to slide. However, the length of your board will affect how it slides. Because you have a shorter than average sized longboard, (average being about 42") the board will break free from the road and go into a slide fairly easily. However you will not have as much control in your slide as you would if you had a longer board. Shorter boards break free more easily than longer boards, but are more difficult to control in a slide. Longer Boards do not break free as easily, but once they do they make for a more predictable and controllable slide.
