It is a possibility if the brush is made from tons of stiff hairs. Though it is doubtful most companies use plastic to form the bristles. Goody has not said publicly whether they use swine products in their brushes or not.

Silver is a valuable commodity and if it is made into silver objects, these may be antique. Cleaning silver objects should only be done with mild silver cleaning products made and sold for the purpose. If you use abrasive household products, you could damage the object and reduce its value.
There are no household items made from halite because halite is just the geological name for rock salt. You can't make anything but seasoning out of salt unless you're using it to salt a road in winter and that's not a household item either.
